Nicole Holloway, LMHC

Nicole was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and has always been passionate about improving her home community. She began her career working with some of the most vulnerable populations, including children in foster care, adults with developmental disabilities, teen mothers, and adolescents in residential facilities. Beginning in 2010, she served as the Residential Director of a 42 bed Residential Treatment Facility for teens and young adults ages 12 to 22 who were experiencing suicidal and homicidal behaviors and required subacute hospitalization before returning home. After nearly ten years in that role, she accepted a position as Director of Clinical Services for a local nonprofit agency, where she oversaw outpatient counseling clinics serving children as young as three years old through adulthood.

As she gained more experience, Nicole began focusing more of her clinical work on adults experiencing anxiety and high stress, while also obtaining additional training in trauma. In 2023, she helped launch the first Youth Assertive Community Treatment Program in Erie and Niagara Counties, allowing teens and adolescents with severe mental illness to receive the highest level of community based mental health services in their homes and communities from a multidisciplinary team of ten professionals. In 2021, she also began working as an Associate Clinician at WNY Holistic Counseling, where she provided therapy to individuals ages 18 and older from all walks of life.

Nicole believes that people are strong and deeply resilient. Despite unexpected circumstances and setbacks, she believes we can move through difficult situations when we are willing to accept support. In recent years, stress, uncertainty, and pressure have impacted individuals, families, and communities in profound ways. These challenges have been especially difficult for those who struggle with anxiety, depression, and overthinking, making it harder to balance caring for others with caring for ourselves. Nicole works collaboratively with her clients, and when appropriate their families and supports, to develop and implement thoughtful plans that help them reach their personal goals of balance, emotional wellness, and overall well being. She prioritizes building a trusting, consistent, and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful growth.
