Shannon White, LCSW
Shannon graduated from The College at Brockport and Nazareth College with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has been working in the mental health field for 15 years. She has experience working with children and adolescents age 10 and older, as well as adults, in a variety of settings. Shannon uses a person-centered approach to meet the individual needs of each person she works with. She utilizes a wide variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, tailoring each session to the individual’s presenting needs.
Shannon works with individuals experiencing a variety of stressors, including trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting difficulties, and family strife. She enjoys working with clients age 10 and older and values the opportunity to support individuals through different stages of life.
Therapy is a very personal journey, and Shannon provides comfort and compassion as you navigate that journey. She takes care to meet you where you are, identifying your goals for therapy and providing the tools you need to reach the best version of yourself. As Lisa Olivera stated, “just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone,” and Shannon is honored to be trusted to guide you through your healing journey.
